In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Sacramento; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 10:30 am–8:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (916) 758-5179. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tealiciouscatogo.com.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 275 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Sacramento peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I’ve ordered the roast duck from this restaurant several times before, and it was always delicious. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. The duck was extremely fatty and greasy, with way too much fat, and the skin was poorly roasted with an uneven color. I’m not sure what happened this time, because the quality used to be much better. I really hope they can improve it.😩

Very impressed with their food. The duck was amazing. The crispy pork was divine! Service was terrible but with duck this good it really doesn't matter. I will be back for the duck, not the Service!

Headline: A Hidden Gem down Freeport Blvd! Location: Tucked into a strip mall off Freeport, parking is a bit limited, though we still found plenty of space. The place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside buyt once you step inside you find a cozy warm interior with modern decor. Inside you are greeted to the roasted ducks with a window into the kitchen. This place definetly passes the vibe check. Food: The food is the star. The crispy pork was absolute chef's kiss Portions are large enough that the rice plate with 2 entrees can serve two! Service: The service staff was excellent. Our server greeted us quickly and had us seated right away. Quick drink and food orders and they had the food out lightning fast. Overall the service was friendly, quick and efficent, I really couldn't ask for more. Conclusion Tealicious might look unassumingfrom the street, but once you are inside you are treated to a great location with great food and service. Defintely worth a visit if you are driving down freeport!

Stopped by this place because another foodie told us we can’t miss their duck noodle soup so we HAD to try it. I would’ve never expected a full dine in restaurant at a boba shop but there it was. Sometimes when people tell you something tastes great, you set your expectation high and the actual food can be disappointing because it’s not as good as it’s hyped to be and how you’ve elevated it in your mind. Well, I have to say that it did not disappoint! We were seated promptly but for some reason, they helped another table who arrived after us for some reason. Not a big deal though since there weren’t many people and it was a leisurely weekend for us. We ordered the shredded roast duck noodles soup. The broth was very flavorful but light with its clear broth. They used the vermicelli bean thread noodles and so my husband just thought the texture was off. I ordered the Roasted Duck Confit with Large noodles and mustard greens. The duck came out in a separate dish than the soup. The broth was light and tasted heavenly. I added some chili oil available at the table and the slight kick added another dimension to this delicious dish. What was utterly amazing about the dish was the duck.

Both the take-out and the dine-in at Tealicious is fantastic. They renovated a few years ago, and recently re-opened. The decor and feel is nice, not typical in a chinese restuarant. It's somewhat more modern. I estimate there are about 10 tables to seat about 4. And it's a pretty quiet ambience which is nice. The food is definitely superb. The roast chicken, duck is very good. The rice is of good quality, and you get a decent size portion for the price. I tried the fried fish ($17) recently for dine-in and I was impressed. It was cooked perfectly, had a nice crisp, and was not too small. The half-duck, was fantastic because I don't like duck that's too fatty, so I was impressed by it. Sorry I don't have pictures this time, too busy eating! Anyways, give this place a try- and definitely get some of the items I suggested above. Enjoy!
